AnyBody Modeling System v.8.0.1 (20-03-2024)

AnyBody Modeling System v.8.0.1 provides minor fixes to the AnyBody Modeling System.

Minor updates:

  • Improved the robustness and accuracy of the Force-Dependent Kinematics solver’s local search algorithm.
  • small updates to the new update engine from version 8.0.0, resulting in minor efficiency improvements and resolving some issues related to replaying simulations.
  • Improved model load speed by approximately 10%.
  • Several bugfixes in the software

AnyBody Modeling System v.8.0.0 (14-02-2024)

AnyBody Modeling System v.8.0. This major update includes several new features and improvements that will enhance your modeling experience

This major version includes several new features and improvements, such as new AnyScript syntax, new meshed surface classes with related volume measures and inertia modeling classes, enhanced ligament and fatigue modeling, and a new update engine handling symbolic dependencies in all simulation operations and supporting many new AnyScript functions. Additionally, we have made improvements to the graphical user interface, in particular the Model Tree and Model View, and added support for recent Python version (3.12).

  • Kinematic Analysis Updated
  • New Meshed Surface Classes and Related Functionality
  • Ligament modeling has been extended in several ways
  • Added support for Python 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, and 3.12.
  • Two Muscle Fatigue models have been added, both sharing the base class AnyFatigueModel:
    • AnyFatigueModelM is based on the model presented by Ma et al., 2010.
    • AnyFatigueModel3CM is a slightly simplified version of the model presented by Xia and Frey-Law, 2008.
  • Updated AnyBody Software License Agreement

The included updated AMMR v.3.0 has several important updates and improvements:

  • Integrated pelvis, lumbar, and thorax models into a consistent trunk model in preparation for a full thoracic model in AMMR 4.
  • Updated the leg model (TLEM 2.2) with improvements to the ankle complex, shank orientation, and alignment of the patella tendon.
  • Added new wrapping surfaces to the Achilles tendon around the ankle in the TLEM 2.2 leg model.
  • Made numerous improvements and fixes to the Body models, MoCap models, and application examples.

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.4.1 (31-05-2022)

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.4.1 provides minor fixes to the AnyBody Modeling System as well as new AnyScript language feature (optional assignment) which was not ready when 7.4 was and hence arrives a bit delayed.

  • The included updated AMMR (v.2.4.1) contains mostly bug fixes.
  • New syntax ??= for optional assigment of AnyValue objects

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.4.0 (28-04-2022)

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.4.0 provides major updates to the AnyBody Managed Model Repository (AMMR v2.4). The main new model highlights are a number of new examples of exoskeletons and a tool for applying femoral torsion to the TLEM leg model. Most example models now also include a very convenient tool for creating creating high quality videos of the model with a single operation. Besides these additions the new model repository also includes a host of model improvements to all body parts and many bug fixes to problems discovered since the last release.

  • The conversion speed from STL to AnySurf files has been greatly improved
  • Improved accuracy and robustness of the muscle wrapping algorithm for the classes AnyKinSPLine and AnyMuscleShortestPath
  • The ObjSelect() and ObjSearch() functions can now accept an array of search strings
  • The “Update Values” Class Operation now operates similar to what happens when the model loads
  • The AnyBody Console macro print now supports printing string values in the output log
  • Official support for Windows 11 has been added
  • Updated AnyBody Exporter™ for SOLIDWORKS®
    • Official support for SOLIDWORKS 2021 and SOLIDWORKS 2022 added
  • Several improvements and bugfixes in the software

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.3.2 provides minor fixes to the AnyBody Modeling System.

  • It is now possible to specify if an AnyCamera: should render as the current Model View state, the Model state or according to ModelViewDefinitions specified for the camera
  • AnyStyleFont3DView has a new member anystylefont3dview.overlay for specifying that the text is to be rendered visually in front of other objects
  • Updated AnyForceMomentMeasure2 with an option to calculate cross-sectional forces in user-defined cross sections
  • The muscle wrapping algorithm has been updated to make it more robust on all surface
  • Several improvements and bugfixes in the software

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.3.1 (05-10-2020)

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.3.1 provides minor fixes to the AnyBody Modeling System.  The included AMMR (v.2.3.1) also includes new features and model improvements. For example, improvements of the shoulder, wrapping, and the large-scale MoCap model of walking with 49 subjects and ~1000 trials which was added in AMMR 2.3.   • The included updated AMMR (v.2.3.1).
  • Messages in the Output View now link to the new HTML based Reference Manual
  • Model View: The Show/Hide functionality for interacting with the Model View from context menus has been simplified and made more consistent

    • Official support for SOLIDWORKS 2019 and SOLIDWORKS 2020 added.
  • Several improvements and bugfixes in the software

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.3.0 (07-07-2020)

AnyBody Modeling System v.7.3.0 provides several new features and minor updates. Many of these are supporting the new version of the AnyBody Managed Model Repository, AMMR v.2.3. The installed version of AMMR is now version 2.3, which includes many improvements and new examples. For example, a large-scale gait MoCap example, and a new graphical interface (plugin) to scale models based on statistical data.   • Improved speed and robustness for muscle and string wrapping
  • Several improvements to the graphical user interface e.g:

    • Chart View: The rendering defaults for the Chart View has been improved, including padding, vertical y-axis title and DPI screen scaling awareness
    • The Class View has a new group of entries for displaying key AnyScript classes.
    • Model Tree: New filter options to show or hide objects based their importance/features and to enable to see hidden objects (for instance deprecated objects)
  • AnyBody Exporter™ for SOLIDWORKS®
    • The exporter now includes extended support for overridden mass properties: overridden center of mass and moments of inertia for parts are now supported
    • New options for Unicode character conversion in AnyScript output, which is also prepared for future full Unicode version of AnyBody
  • Several improvements and bugfixes in the software
