Movement analysis and muscle function during sports

Understanding the internal mechanisms of the body during motion is crucial to find the balance between performance optimization and injury prevention. However, internal mechanisms of the body are impossible or impractical to measure in vivo.

With the AnyBody Modeling System, simulations of human movement can provide realistic and non-invasive means to gain insight into a wide range of internal body parameters as Individual muscle forces, joint contact-forces and moments, metabolism, elastic energy in tendons and antagonistic muscle action. Import and analyze motion data captured with optical marker-based or inertial measurement unit based (IMU) motion capture systems (e.g., Xsens) and investigate sports biomechanics.
