Documentation

The AnyBody documentation is organized into the following main categories:

  • The tutorials are a gentle introduction to model building in AnyScript and handling of the user interface in AnyBody. The tutorials cover introductory as well as advanced matters, and we are adding new tutorials all the time.

Tutorials normally grow out of demonstration examples that we or our users generate to demonstrate features of the system. We wish to put the information we have at the disposal of our users as quickly as possible, so in the absence of a real tutorial on a particular subject, you will often find a demonstration example in the form of a commented AnyScript file.

The tutorials are available on PDF format here in case you prefer to print them and read them on paper.
  • The reference pages is a collection documents with fundamental and systematically ordered descriptions of features in the AnyBody system. The primary document is a complete directory of the objects you can define in AnyBody's modeling language AnyScript. The reference pages are typically generated automatically from the source code of the system, so it does not contain a lot of wordy explanations, but it should be very accurate and concise.
  • The documentation tree also contains a Frequently Asked Questions page where you might find answers to the topics that have been bugging you about the system. Finally, you will find Release Notes documenting the improvements and deficiencies of each new version.
