The AnyBody Modeling System™ is available in three license types at different prices. Discounted licenses come with restrictions of use but with full functionality.
Normal license fees are one-off. The initial license fee includes software updates for one year. License type | Conditions | Standard license | A standard license entitles you to use the AnyBody Modeling System™ without restrictions. You need this license type if you work for commercial entity or if you do classified research (e.g. working at a university doing research for a commercial entity or classifed government research for defense) | Research license | Research licenses are available to scientific institutions doing research aimed at publication at a reduced price for the purpose of research. They may not be used for revenue-producing activities | Student license | Student licenses are available to universities and other institutions of higher education. A student license is only for the purpose of education, and it may not be used for any revenue-producing activity. Data produced with the AnyBody Modeling System™ under a student license may not be published except in student reports. |
Educational bundles
A special offer is available for scientists and educators wishing to purchase a research license and also use the system for teaching. For the price of one research license and one student license you obtain 20 student licenses in addition to the research license. However, this option does not include the actual hardware locks for the student licenses. They must be bought separately at 100 Euros each. You can buy the hardware locks that you actually need while you retain the right to purchase additional locks up to the maximum number of 20 at a later time.
Maintenance
Maintenance entitles you to all software updates with no further cost. The annual maintenance fee is 20% of the license fee (when you buy the maintenance). Please note that maintenance is optional; you get the first year of maintenance when you acquire the license. After this you decide whether you want maintenance or not. If you don't want maintenance, the perpetual license allows you to use the version of the software available when your prepaid maintenance period expires.
